Look forward to robust, fresh flavours served with imagination and flair in east Kent’s newest contemporary restaurant. Head Chef Charles Lakin, who was formerly the assistant chef at a Michelin-starred establishment in Yorkshire, presides over heavenly menus that change regularly. Not alone in this venture, Lakin is supported by a team of chefs from some of the best restaurants in Kent and London.
The wine, beer and drinks list is also top notch. With selections ranging from old school to New World, and Kent wines from Kent vineyards to local real ales, you can be assured that great taste is everything here at the Marquis. The menu’s inspiration may be global, but the food never has to travel far to get here, with an emphasis on locally caught fish and locally sourced produce throughout.
